seatkid Posted June 3, 2005 Report Posted June 3, 2005 They are pulling your leg along with the dangly bits attached to them! There is no belt to change, the camchain is a duplex (twin) chain designed for the lifetime of the car. johnb80 Posted June 3, 2005 Report Posted June 3, 2005 Wifeys 2.3 Ultima has now got 170,000 on the clock without even a hint of chain rattle. If you want to have a laugh ask them to do it and when you take the car in say you want to see the new parts they're going to fit and then add that you'll stay and watch the work. Regards - JB Quote
Guest bosbax Posted June 4, 2005 Report Posted June 4, 2005 Chriso, just incase you don't have access to a workshop manual or disc, give this site a look at www.fordscorpio.co.uk/engmanual and i'm sure you will find what you want.Engines are one and the same unit, near as makes no difference.
